My Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator journey, started in January 2008. I was at the time a very active crafter scrapbooking and card maker involved in many Scrapbooking and crafting Forums in the UK ( ys I said forums, way before social media was born) . I currently live in North Yorkshire with my husband Pete and Olly the Cockapoo pup, my constant shadow and best friend, unlike the husband he NEVER answers back.
As well as my passion for papercraft and being a Stampin Up Demonstrator, I love to cook, potter in my garden, and obsesses about all things interior design.
Why Did I Become a Stampin Up demonstrator ?
I discovered Stampin Up, after falling in love with a handcrafted card, made with a stamp set called “Spring in Paris”, on the Internet….
At that time Stampin’ Up! wasn’t even operating in the UK, so I became obsessed with trying to buy Stampin’Up! products, but struggling to do so.
Luckily for me, it wasn’t much longer, before Stampin’Up! announced their arrival to the UK and so, my decision to BUY THE STARTER KIT was made.
The main reason for joining at that time, was sorely for the discount. I guess just like many that choose to join our team today.
Once it became apparent that the whole of the catalogue was on my wish list, it made total sense to join and get 20% discount of everything. The perks of being a demonstrator are many and you can read more about them here.
How Did I Transitioned into a Business Stampin Up Demonstrator
My transition into what we now call a business demonstrator happened organically. I was simply blogging and sharing my makes and quickly realised I was loving it. Three years later Stampin’Up! became my full time job and I never looked back.
Over the years I have built a large team of demonstrators, whom I proudly call friends, they are my constant inspiration and our get togethers, are famous for a fun time guaranteed.
My Achievements:
As one of the highest achievers in the UK, I feel blessed to have ranked in top 10 each year, for the first 11 years. The last 2 years have been a little challenging. Saying all that, I am back felling more inspired than ever and ready for the next adventures.
Stampin’Up! and my achievements will always provide me with a sense of pride. However for me, it’s the relationships and friendships built over the years that I treasure the most.
